About Access to Advice

Set up from funding from the Big Lottery Fund, Hart Access to Advice aims to improve access to advice for people across Hart District.

We are working in partnership with a range of groups that include:

to promote accessibility and signposting to support services that are available locally.

Our goal is to develop advice services throughout Hart District by expanding the range and scope of our partner groups and other voluntary sector organisations and statutory agencies by training their volunteers & staff to provide "Gateway Access" covering four main topics;

  • debt
  • welfare benefits
  • housing
  • employment

Our Partners' volunteers will have access to training, a referral tool and assessment tools provided by Citizens Advice. Access to advice will also be improved through the use of information technology. This includes this website which our Partners can use to access advice and information agencies across Hart.

Additionally, we will be setting up a network of self-help information kiosks in community locations across the district.
